Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs of last week are clearly recognisable. They represent the main danger.

In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls visible wind slabs formed. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads. In gullies and bowls a considerable avalanche danger will persist in some regions. In particular at the base of rock walls and on very steep sunny slopes individual mostly small snow slides are possible as a consequence of solar radiation.

Snowpack Structure

In some cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on the smooth surface of an old snowpack. Weak layers exist in the snowpack.

Tendency

The weather will be clear.
