Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger will prevail.

Some snow has fallen over a wide area. The avalanche prone locations are sometimes covered with new snow and are barely recognisable. Wind slabs are mostly small but to be assessed critically. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes, in particular in gullies and bowls. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area 5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen. Only a little snow is now lying. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. Shady slopes: The snowpack consists of faceted crystals.
