Avalanche danger is low. Gliding snow remains the main problem, and has receded. Isolated naturally triggered glide-snow avalanches cannot be ruled out on steep stopes which have not yet discharged. Isolated loose-snow slides in steep rough and rocky terrain are possible. Triggering a slab avalanche is only possible in high alpine terrain by large additional loading.

Fresh snowdrifts (10-20 cm) have been generated at high altitudes, bonding of fresh snow to old snowpack is not adequate. The snow base is thoroughly moist up to high altitudes. In summit zones the snow is hard-to-icy.

On Wednwday some sunshine from Schneealpe to the Fischbach Alps, elsewhere compact clouds predominate. In afternoon these clouds will drop lower, peaks disappear in fog, isolated minor snow or rain showers are expected, snowfall level at 1800 m. Moderate W/NW winds, stormier on the Koralpe,

On Thursday, sunny and warm. Foehn SW winds will be blowing. Wet-snow problem will intensify.
