Avalanche Summary

The most dangerous and likely places to trigger an avalanche are on northeast through east to southeast-facing slopes near ridgelines and at upper elevations. Dense slabs have formed on weak snow layers on these aspects around ridges and leeward terrain features. Use extra caution if you find more than 8 inches of new or drifted snow. You could possibly trigger a small avalanche in the new snow, or the added load could break deeper, creating a much larger slide. Seek out good snow in lower-angle terrain to lower your risk.
