Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Five to Eight inches of new snow early in the week has been blown into slabs to one foot in depth on lee slopes of higher ridgecrests that could be triggered by backcountry travelers on steeper slopes. The newer, dense snow came in over light snow that rests on slick crusts. As the snowpack settles it may require the second or later rider on a slope to release a slide. Stay out of steep ravines and do not sit below steep slopes while others ride them.
