Avalanche Summary

Avalanche danger is easing, but you might be able to trigger an avalanche on steep slopes where recent wind-drifted snow is forming firm, connected slabs over weak snow. Look for and steer clear of drifted snow below ridgelines and in cross-loaded gullies, especially on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes near and above treeline.

As the snowpack continues to weaken, it will become easier to trigger small loose avalanches on steep, shady, sheltered slopes. While small, these could be dangerous if they carry you into trees or a terrain trap.
