Avalanche Summary

You can trigger avalanches where the wind has drifted snow into hard, cohesive slabs. A small avalanche in drifted snow can turn into a larger one if it steps down to more deeply buried weak layers. Stick to slopes with soft snow that are sheltered from the wind.
