At the mid and upper elevations, backcountry travelers could trigger pockets of surface slab up to two feet in very steep, wind-loaded avalanche terrain. In a few areas, larger loads, such as snowmachines, still have some potential to trigger hard slabs up to six feet in depth. With the exception of isolated pockets of wind drifted snow, the snowpack is mostly stable at the lower elevations and avalanches are unlikely.

High pressure will build into the region tonight bringing dry conditions and clearing skies. Temperature inversions will also start to build with mountain highs near 30 as the valley climbs into the mid 20s. Ridgetop winds will be westerly at 15 to 25 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain MODERATE on Tuesday. If clear skies and warm temperatures prevail, these hazards will increase on sun-affected aspects as snow surfaces soften.
