Generally safe avalanche conditions exist throughout the Central Mountains. You can still trigger a loose avalanche on sunny slopes later in the day. While most of these avalanches will be small they could knock you over and take you for a dangerous ride in consequential terrain.

To reduce your risk of being caught, injured, or killed in an avalanche start and end your day early, avoid wind-loaded slopes in high-elevation, consequential terrain, and give cornices a wide berth as you travel through the backcountry today.
