Avalanche Activity

Gliding snow requires caution. Sharp decrease in danger of wet avalanches as the temperature drops. Even in moderately steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the icy crust.

More medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. Individual mostly small wet avalanches are possible. There is a danger of falling on the hard crust.

Snowpack Structure

Some snow will fall in some localities. The wind will be moderate at times over a wide area. The snowpack is wet and its surface has a strong melt-freeze crust. The meteorological conditions will bring about a gradual strengthening of the snowpack. In particular below the tree line only a little snow is now lying.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
