The avalanche danger will already increase in the late morning, especially on east, south and west facing slopes at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions, and in all aspects below approximately 2500 m. In particular on steep sunny slopes small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. Moist avalanches can occur easily or triggered naturally. Naturally triggered avalanches and penetration of the old snow cover indicate the existence of a weak snowack. Backcountry tours should be started early and concluded timely. Early morning: There is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Over a wide area 5 to 30 cm of snow has fallen since Sunday above approximately 2100 m. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will already soften in the late morning. This applies in particular on steep east, south and west facing slopes below approximately 2600 m, as well as on north facing slopes below approximately 2400 m. Below approximately 2200 m no snow is lying on south facing slopes.
