Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will remain generally stable. Some fresh windslab will form in sheltered locations overnight. Greatest accumulations will be on steep North, North-East and East aspects above 1000m. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be a period of snow overnight above 800m accompanied by Moderate to Strong South-Westerly winds. Winds will become light overnight. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a dry day with strong Southerly winds over the summits. The freezing level has been around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally stable at all levels. Some localised instabilities are present on some steep North-West, North and North-East aspects above 1000m. The avalanche hazard is Low.
