Avalanche Activity

Wind slabs represent the main danger.

In particular on very steep grassy slopes and on sunny slopes individual small moist slab avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day. This applies in particular in case of a large load.

Snowpack Structure

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to gradual moistening of the snowpack in particular on sunny slopes.
