Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wet snow

    • Above 1,800 m

Avalanche Activity

Moist snow slides and avalanches are possible in isolated cases.

As the moisture increases individual mostly small wet snow slides and avalanches are possible. Above approximately 1900 m and in gullies and bowls the danger of moist and wet avalanches is a little higher. This applies in particular on sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains quite favourable. Below approximately 1600 m hardly any snow is lying. The fresh and older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. Slow warming: These weather conditions will give rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack in particular on sunny slopes.
