Avalanche Summary

Watch for small areas of hard wind-drifted snow on leeward slopes. With winds coming from the west to northwest, you can expect to find these drifts on northeast, east, southeast, and south-facing slopes. Although any avalanche you trigger will be relatively small, these avalanches can carry severe consequences if you are taken off your feet in a steep couloir or above cliffs.
