Avalanche Summary

Dangerous avalanche conditions exist. You can trigger an avalanche large enough to bury or kill you on west through north to southeast-facing slopes, and avalanches may release naturally. Be careful around southerly-facing slopes where you find more than about 10 inches of new or recently wind-drifted snow. You can trigger an avalanche in the storm snow that will be large enough to take you for a dangerous ride. You may trigger avalanches which break wider or run further than you anticipated, so give yourself a large physical buffer from steep terrain, and be mindful of other parties. Slopes less than about 30 degrees without steep terrain overhead provide safer options.
