Points saillants

The general avalanche hazard remains CONSIDERABLE. Nearly a foot of new snow and westerly winds yesterday, combined with last week's snowfall has created surface slabs up to two feet in depth on lee slopes. In addition, the potential to trigger DANGEROUS deep slabs to the ground remains. Large triggers such as snowmachines high marking in the steep starting zones of major avalanche paths have the best potential to trigger these deeper slides. Only one machine at a time should be on a slope and observers should be out of the potential avalanche's path.
