Avalanche Summary

The past week of warm weather and subsequent cold nights have transformed the snowpack and made it difficult to trigger an avalanche. Still, you could trigger an avalanche on steep north to east-facing slopes above treeline. Avoid pockets of stiff, wind-drifted snow on slopes steeper than about 35 degrees, especially around rocky trigger points. Even a small slide can become dangerous in consequential terrain.
