Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Soft slabs eight inches to two feet in depth exist in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas. These slabs could be human triggered and could step down to a hard old snow crust near the ground on northerly aspects above 8,500 feet. Avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets below 8,000 feet. Be aware of terrain traps.
