Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche on steep slopes that face west through north to southeast. You might be able to trigger it from a distance so be aware of steep slopes above you. If you are on these aspects of concern you can reduce your chances of being caught in an avalanche by sticking to slopes less than about 30 degrees steep without similarly steep slopes above you.
