Points saillants

The avalanche hazard is HIGH at all elevations.  Human triggered avalanche are very likely up to 4' in depth.  Natural avalanches are likely.  Travel in avalanche terrain is not reccomended.

    Our snowpack is under significant stress.  4 feet of snow has accumulated at the nicks station in the last 36 hours.  Human triggered and natural avalanches are likely today up to 4 feet in depth. Avoid avalanche terrain.

Avalanche Discussion

Significant weather will continue today putting large amounts of stress on the snowpack.  Very dangerous avalanche conditions will exist until precipitation stops.   Natural avalanches have hit the road at 39 mile and 50.5 mile closing the Richardson Highway.   Avoid all avalanche terrain including low elevation runouts.
