Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses. Backcountry tours should be started and concluded early.

As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep shady slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Gliding avalanches can also occur. The avalanches can be released by large loads.
