Mildvær og regn vil øke vanninnholdet i snødekket ytterligere. Snødekket består i stor grad av grovkornet, smelteomvandlet snø som normalt drenerer vann godt, men ett og annet vått løssnøskred kan likevel forekomme i svært bratt terreng. Unngå opphold i utløpsområder der det kommer mye regn på snøen.
