The new snow and wind slabs of yesterday remain in some cases prone to triggering in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from northwesterly directions, sometimes easily released wind slabs will form in the course of the day in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as in high Alpine regions. They are mostly small but prone to triggering. As a consequence of warming during the day small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist snow slides are possible as the day progresses. In addition a latent danger of gliding avalanches exists. Backcountry touring calls for defensive route selection.

Over a wide area 10 to 15 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2000 m. 5 to 10 cm of snow will fall in the middle of the day above approximately 2000 m. The northwesterly wind will transport the new snow significantly. The new snow of the last few days has bonded in all aspects. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.
