Avalanche Activity

Slab avalanches are still possible.

Soft wind slabs are poorly bonded with the old snowpack. They can be released in some cases in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2500 m. Decrease in danger of moist and wet avalanches as the temperature drops.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of a strong wind from northwesterly directions, sometimes large wind slabs formed in all aspects. In its middle, the snowpack is largely stable. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
