Forecast Snow Stability: The old patchy snow cover will remain well bonded becoming firmer during the day. New shallow accumulations of fresh snow will develop in wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 950 metres but deposits will not achieve any significant depth. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will drop to around 950 metres in the morning with very light snowfall above this level. Strong Southerly winds will veer during the day to the South-West. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with the cloud base around 950 metres. The freezing level was above the summits. Winds were strong, South to South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snow cover continues to thaw but remains well bonded in all locations. Greatest snow cover is found in North to East facing cories above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
