New snow and wind slabs can to an increasing extent be released, even by a single winter sport participant. Slab avalanches and dry slab avalanches are the main danger. Some mostly small natural avalanches are possible.

In some places avalanches can be triggered in the weakly bonded old snow and reach medium size in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep northwest to north to northeast facing slopes above approximately 1900 m. Caution is to be exercised at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. As a consequence of new snow and a strong southwesterly wind, sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs will form in the course of the day. They are to be avoided. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep shady slopes, and adjacent to ridgelines.
