Forecast Snow Stability: New, shallow windslab will form in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North to East aspects above 900 metres. These accumulations are not expected to be extensive or gain any depth. The old snow deposits lying mainly on North to East aspects above 800 metres will remain firm and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will slowly rise through the period to around 1000 metres. Snow showers at first above 500 metres then later above 900 metres accompanied by strong South-South-Westerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level lowered to around 800 metres and scattered showers fell as very light snow, mainly above 700 metres. The winds were moderate to fresh from a South-Westerly direction. ObservedSnowStability: The old moist snowpack has consolidated and is generally well bonded and stable in all locations and on all aspects. New snow amounts were mainly a dusting and accumulations were not significant, greatest deposits on North to Easterly aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
