Forecast Snow Stability: Localised areas of unstable windslab will continue to develop and gain depth in wind sheltered locations on North-West through North to South-East aspects above 950 metres. Areas most affected will be gully tops and coire rims, here cornices continue to develop and be fragile. Wind exposed slopes will be firm and generally stable. Isolated deeper drifts below 950 metres will begin to consolidate in the cooler temperatures. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Snowfall overnight will ease and become showery during the day. The freezing level is expected to initially be around 600 metres lowering to 400 metres. Winds will be moderate in strength, initially from the South-West, then backing South-Easterly overnight, becoming South-Westerly during the daytime. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight precipitation falling as snow above 900 metres. eased by daybreak giving a largely dry day with some brighter spells. Winds were fresh North-Westerlies. The freezing was around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated accumulations of unstable windslab are present on North through East to South-East aspects above 950 metres. Areas most affected are wind sheltered locations such as core rims and gully tops, where the snow has gained depth and cornices are present. Wind exposed slopes are generally firm, icy and stable. At lower elevations, some localised deeper accumulations remain, mainly in wind sheltered locations. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
