Forecast Snow Stability: Wet snow instabilities will develop into the evening and overnight where deeper accumulations are present on steep slopes. Terrain features such as gullies and coire rims on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres will be most affected. Cornices will be prone to collapse. Some consolidation will occur as precipitation eases during the morning. Elsewhere the snowpack will continue to thaw and be generally well bonded. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: A warm front will spread eastwards bringing heavy rain and drizzle. The heaviest rain will be during the evening and overnight, then clearing in the early hours to leave some light and patchy rain before further heavy showers during the afternoon. The freezing level will be above the summits. Gale to storm force South-South-Westerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Heavy snow showers fell overnight to around 400 metres. Dryer for a time during the morning before further precipitation gradually turned to rain at higher elevations. The freezing level was 600 meters then rose to around the summits during the day.
