Forecast Weather Influences: Showers throughout the period will turn to snow above around 950 metres by morning as the precipitation becomes heaviest, easing in the afternoon and turning to rain below 1100 metres. Strong East-South-Easterly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Snow showers above around 950 metres early this morning cleared to give a mainly dry day with fresh South-Easterly winds. The freezing level was around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack is well bonded and stable. Shallow new snow deposits above around 950 metres are consolidating. The avalanche hazard is Low.
