Gale to storm force South-Westerly winds were accompanied by showery light rain becoming heavier in the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: There has been a significant snow loss due to the thawing conditions. The remaining patchy snow cover is well bonded and stable with the greatest amounts above 800 metres.
