Avalanche Activity

Some snow will fall over a wide area.

Over a wide area some new snow to below approximately 1000 m. Isolated mostly small dry avalanches are possible as a consequence of the snowfall.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area 15 to 25 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. Over a wide area from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the icy crust. These avalanche prone locations are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint.
