Highlights

The avalanche hazard will raise from LOW this morning to CONSIDERABLE this afternoon. Cooler overnight lows have formed a stabilizing crust on the snow surface. As temperatures quickly rise today the crust will soften and the potential for wet loose and wet slab avalanches will increase. Two large slides triggered by cornice failures on Brooks Mtn. were witnessed on Thursday and many smaller wet slides running on the ground surface have recently occured.
