Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations many DANGEROUS slabs one to eight feet in depth have been skier triggered on approach or released naturally on all aspects during the past several days. A deep weak layer of faceted snow is causing this instability. Similar events are likely to be easily triggered today on steep wind loaded aspects. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects.
