Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the Grand and Battlement Mesa's. Heavy snow and strong winds are creating very dangerous avalanche conditions. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are very likely. Avalanches can break wide across terrain features, they can occur in trees or on steep slope cuts above trails, and you can trigger them from long distances away. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended Wednesday evening through Friday morning.
