Avalanche Summary

Beware of steep slopes with more than a foot of new snow regardless of aspect and elevation. Even a small avalanche within the storm snow could step down into a buried weak layer, resulting in a much larger and more dangerous avalanche. Stick to slopes less than about 30 degrees that don't end in terrain traps for safer travel options.
