Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. This does not mean avalanches are impossible. There is a small chance you can trigger an avalanche on steeper slopes, northerly and east slopes at upper elevations where recent wind drifted snow on weaker snow. Wind-drifted snow can look rounded, pillowy, and sounds hollow. Cracking in the new snow is a sign of instability and a good indicator to move to wind-sheltered lower-angle slopes.
