Areas of instability linger. Some potential remains for backcountry travellers to trigger shallow pockets of surface slab especially on steep slopes underlain by areas of buried surface hoar. Significant warming will increase the potential for loose wet sluffs and cornice drops to occur.

Mostly clear skies with morning lows near zero and daytime highs rising into the teens. Winds will be northerly to northeasterly at 12 to 20 MPH. AVALANCHE HAZARD FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS / CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND GREYS RIVER / SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be LOW. Although mostly stable snow exist "Low hazard does not mean no hazard exists". Isolated pockets of slab up to one foot in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. Backcountry users are advised to consult area specific forecasts issued every morning as new information may become available and unexpected weather can change conditions.
