Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist, mostly because of a lack of snow. New snow and strong winds Friday night will build small slabs of wind-drifted snow at the highest elevations on north and northeast-facing slopes. These are the only areas you where you can trigger a small avalanche. Even a small avalanche can be dangerous if you are dragged across rocks or off a cliff so be aware of dangerous terrain beneath you if you encounter firm, drifted snow.
