Recent north and northwest winds drifted snow at upper elevations. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be where you find a fresh drift of snow. Drifts of snow can range from soft to hard and sometimes sound hollow. Identify areas of freshly drifted snow, as these are the places you can trigger a small slide.
