Avalanche Summary
There are very few slopes where you can trigger an avalanche, mostly due to an unusually shallow snowpack. The few slopes you should approach with caution are if you find a thin slab of wind-drifted snow in the alpine on north-facing slopes.
There is a great deal of uncertainty with Thursday's storm. Snow totals at upper elevations appear to have decreased, and the danger may not change until another storm arrives on Saturday. However, if you find more than about 6 inches of new, wind-drifted snow late in the day on Thursday or Friday, you might be able to trigger a small avalanche, so approach steep slopes with some caution.
