Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are currently free of avalanche danger, but the hazard is expected to increase gradually over the coming days.
New snow on Thursday will slowly increase your chance of triggering an avalanche. Once we receive over 6 inches of snow, you may be able to trigger avalanches on steep, drifted slopes. At this time, it appears that we will not reach that threshold until Friday. However, if you are out and about on the holiday and the snow is falling harder than expected, the hazard is increasing, and you should approach steep slopes with caution.
