Shallow, weak snow will keep most slopes safe from avalanches. The few places you should consider avoiding are where you find stiff, wind-drifted snow just below ridgelines on steep north through northeast to east-facing slopes. If you triggered a small slide, it would be mostly harmless unless it swept you off a cliff or dragged you into a creek bed.
