Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe on most slopes. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be in a stiff slab of snow in steep, rocky terrain at upper elevations. Slopes that face north to east in the alpine remain the most susceptible to avalanches. Recent winds sculpted the snow surface, making it easy to spot and avoid the stiff drifts by looking for pillowy or textured snow surfaces.
