Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. The few places where you might trigger an avalanche are where slabs of wind-drifted snow rest on top of weak snow. You are most likely to find this strong over weak layering on the lee side of ridgelines, below cornices, and in northeasterly-facing gullies and couloirs.
Continue to carry essential rescue gear, travel with a partner, and evaluate the consequences of even a small slide before you head into the backcountry.
