Sunshine and warming temperatures will increase the hazard at all elevations through the day. The possibility of backcountry travelers releasing wet-loose slides on very steep slopes at all elevations will rise. Cornice failure and snow falling from cliff areas could start slides in the warm afternoon sun.

The high pressure will continue to build with a chance of an isolated snow shower over the peaks Saturday evening. Sunday morning lows will be in the low twenties then temperatures will rise into the low forties or warmer during the day. Winds will be from the west at fifteen miles per hour along the crests.The new snow will continue to settle with continued melt-freeze cycles. Conditions will be quite stable in the morning then the chance of triggering wet-loose slides within the new snow will increase with warming temperatures. Cornice drops and sloughs beginning from cliff areas could also initiate slides during the heat of the day. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate Sunday.
