Highlights
The general avalanche hazard at upper elevations is MODERATE today. Soft slabs up to 18" could be human triggered where the newer snow rests on slick, early season snow on slopes facing NW, North, NE and East. With strong winds forecasted these slabs will thicken through the day increasing the hazard. Natural slides have been reported. The general avalanche hazard is LOW in areas not underlain by old, slick snow.
