Highlights

Pockets of soft slab up to 18 inches in depth exist in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas at the upper elevations. On Thursday a skier and a snowboarder triggered slabs near Zero G and Spacewalk Couloirs south of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Rock Springs Drainage. These events had the potential to sweep these people over large cliffbands. At the mid and lower elevations isolated pockets of slab 6 to 12 inches in depth exist and could be triggered in steep terrain. Use caution and be aware of terrain traps and the potential to be swept over cliffs. .
