Highlights

DANGEROUS dense slabs up to two feet in depth lie upon weak layers of light density snow and slick crusts. These slabs could step down to the ground surface especially on shaded aspects and at lower elevations where depth hoar persists.Three skiers were caught in a slide they triggered in the Rock Springs drainage yesterday at 9000 feet (uninjured but gear loss). Natural slides also did and could release on moderately steep, wind loaded aspects. Travel in avalanche terrain at the upper elevations is not recommended today.
